Help going vegan
If you've decided to try living vegan, and would like help to learn about how to do it, then you're not alone!
It may seem daunting at first, but it's really not difficult once you've learned a few things and formed new habits, and there are lots of groups which offer friendly encouragement and support to new vegans.

This is a very friendly and supportive way to learn how to live vegan over three weeks. New challenge groups start every week, and you'll have access to mentors and dietary advice from professional registered dietitians. (Requires a Facebook account.)

Really awesome app that helps you find restaurants in Iceland that have vegan options on their menu's!
The Icelandic Vegan Society
The Icelandic Vegan Society has some useful information in Icelandic on their site but also a geat org to follow on social media (Samtök grænkera á Íslandi on Facebook and Grænkeri on Instagram) as they have all kinds of events going on for vegans in Iceland such as potlucks, free vegan documentaries in movie theaters during veganuary and the only Icelandic Vegan festival.

The Facebook group "Vegan Ísland" a local group for vegans and vegan curious, you are welcome to ask questions there in English. Please note that you need to answer questions to be let in, as the group is closed.
Grænkerar Recipes
Brand new recipe blog with a really cool design, you can tag what you have bought in the supermarket for the recipe or use it to tag what you have added to your cooking while in the kitchen. Classic recipes both Icelandic and not with products commonly found in Iceland.
Veganistur Recipes
Really great recipe blog with variety of dishes, many of witch veganised versions of classic Icelandic dishes, all made from products available in Icelandic supermarkets.
